Copperrock Construction began its work on the new office for Christian Healthcare Centers (CHC) in July 2021. The 8,150 square-foot, $1.8 million project will provide primary and specialty medical care to Newaygo residents.
The new location will provide space for family medicine, x-ray, labs, medication dispensary, and counseling services. Christian Healthcare Specialists, CHC’s subsidiary, will also provide various in-office procedures and minor surgeries. The organization anticipates employing 12-14 individuals in the first year of operation.
During construction, the original pre-engineered stormwater system had a five-month lead time. Copperrock value-engineered to a different system that allowed the project to start three months sooner.
When asked about companies that went above and beyond on this project, Copperrock Construction mentioned that Ron Meyer Excavating was the partner that identified the long lead time on the original stormwater system. Ron Meyer Excavating was instrumental in selecting the new system that allowed the project to stay on schedule.
Christian Healthcare Centers’ new facility is on track to be completed in the Spring of 2022.
