LARGE SCALE DEVELOPMENT WITH A GROCERY STORE AND APARTMENT BUILDING / Project ID’s 2023-2208 and 2023-2208-A

The $60 million development includes a 75,239 square foot grocery store adjacent to a four-story 226,276 square foot apartment building. Amenities will include a pool, gym, and dog park.

 

NEW MULTIFAMILY TOWNHOME DEVELOPMENT / Project ID 2023-2322

This approximately $17 million development consists of 75 total units including two apartment buildings and several townhomes. The developer intends to apply for Low Income Housing Tax Credits during the December 2023 funding round. Construction is tentatively planned for the fourth quarter of 2024.

 

LARGE SCALE HYDROGEN STORAGE MANUFACTURING PLANT / Project ID 2023-2574

Plans for this $170 million project include a 200,000 square foot plant with state-of-the-art automation. Construction is slated to begin during spring 2024 with completion in 2026.

 

REDEVELOPMENT OF A FORMER SCHOOL BUILDING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY HUB / Project ID 2023-2139

While the 87,000 square foot building is in good shape, it needs a new heating and cooling system, a new roof, and elevator and cosmetic renovations. The community is also requesting an urgent care center in the new hub. The plan to convert the building into a community hub is part of a more than $7 million project.

 

LARGE SCALE OFFICE AND WAREHOUSE FACILITY / Project ID 2023-2602

Proposed is the construction of a 295,375 square foot multitenant industrial warehouse/distribution center with office spaces. This $25.5 million project is currently on hold.

 

MASSIVE HOSPITAL TOWER / Project ID’s 2023-072F, 2023-072F-A, 2023-072F-B

Plans include a new 1 million square foot hospital with all private rooms, a large emergency department, and a skywalk and a series of tunnels to connect the new tower to the existing hospital. A new 72 bed, 125,000 square foot inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation facility is also planned in the tower as well as a neurofibromatosis research institute. Some phases of this $1.8 billion project are anticipated to start in early 2024.

 

AFFORDABLE WORKFORCE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT / Project ID 2023-2516

Plans for this $13 million development include one 4 story building with 38 units and one 2 story building with 11 units for approximately 49 units total. Pending Michigan State Housing Development Authority funding, the project will commence in August 2024 with completion planned for October 2025.
