RENOVATIONS TO THE SKILLED TRADES WING AND AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY EXPANSION FOR A COLLEGE / Project ID 2024-0594

This approximately $40 million project is being supported by a $19.5 million grant which the college plans to match. The HVAC technology space will be expanded so that there will be dedicated space for HVAC repair, and an independent space for hydronic technology instruction. The automotive space will also be expanded by 20,000 square feet.

 

MICRO-FLEX OFFICE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT / Project ID 2021-1648-A

Construction is slated to begin in March of 2025 on this $4.5 million development. Plans are for at least 4 buildings, for a total of 72,850 -110,000 square feet. These suites could be used for Artisan food/ beverage production; dance, martial arts, music or art studios; retail; offices; medical or professional uses; light manufacturing; technology/ research; assembly; trade contractors, home service, and repair; or warehouse establishments.

 

HEADQUARTERS FACILITY FOR A SUPPLIER / Project ID 2024-00EE

Plans for this $2 million facility include office and warehouse space to store their materials. The sale of the land is anticipated to be closed on before February 2025.

 

MULTIFAMILY TOWNHOME DEVELOPMENT / Project ID’s 2023-309D and 2023-309D-A

Phase 1 of this 2-phase, $10 million development includes a set of 2-story townhomes with five units, and one duplex. Phase 2 consists of twenty dwelling units comprised of ten duplex structures. Plans also include 48 total parking spaces, an office, and a childcare center and preschool. Construction is slated to begin in the fall with completion by the end of 2026 or later.

 

WORKFORCE HOUSING FOR A WATERFONT PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT / Project ID’s 2024-088A and 2024-088A-A

This $24 million development includes 2 phases. Phase 1 will include 42-60 workforce housing units in one four-story building. There will be a playground, picnic shelter, community garden, open space, and a recreational field for residents. Phase 2 will include 42-60 senior housing units in one four-story building. Construction is anticipated to start on phase 1 in early 2025 pending approval from the state for LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) funding in May or June.

 

LARGE SCALE CONSOLIDATED SERVICE CENTER FOR A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER / Project ID 2024-08DD

The $80 facility is proposed to be a 296,515 square foot consolidated service center that will provide space for offices, document and mail services, and 36,000 square feet of shell space for future use. Multiple bid packages will be going out over the next several months with groundbreaking slated for June.

 

MEDICAL SIMULATION CENTER FOR A COLLEGE / Project ID 2024-088D

Plans are to construct a new world-class medical simulation center to allow future healthcare professionals to train in real-life scenarios, from birth to death. The project has received donations. An architect has not yet been selected.

 

FOOD HALL AND BEER GARDEN / Project ID 2024-09E3

This $3.6 million food hall will include a sit-down restaurant and brewery, retail shops, event spaces, and outdoor seating. There will be four food vendor stalls with rotating small business occupants.

 

MASSIVE SOLAR TECHNOLGY FACILITY / Project ID 2024-0BAE

Plans call for a 1 million square foot solar component manufacturing facility. The Michigan Strategic Fund Board recently approved three incentive requests to support this $900 million project. The facility is to be completed in 2028.

 

TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY CENTER / Project ID 2024-0E57

The previous community center was damaged in a fire in 2022 and needs to be replaced. The new community center will allow the township to host a variety of activities including athletics once again, recreation groups, and rental space for private or community events. Public engagement is planned throughout the summer with recommendations submitted to the township board in August or September 2024.

 

WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENTS / Project ID 2024-0EE9

Bidding is planned for 2025 for this $18.9 million project. The feasibility study has been completed and they are working through the grant application process.
