In April’s edition of On Your Radar, Becky highlights a range of upcoming developments, including a new event venues, residential projects, and a large-scale renewable energy initiative.

TWO STORY EVENT VENUE / Project ID 2026-033F

The two-story 30,000 square foot event venue is estimated to cost $17 million. It will feature a sunken amphitheater to host both indoor and outdoor events, accommodating 650 seated guests and over 1,000 guests. Construction is slated to begin later in 2026 with completion planned by the end of 2027.

TWELVE STORY HIGH RISE DEVELOPMENT / Project ID 2026-0498

This proposed $78 million development will feature a 12-story high-rise with 343 residential units and 313 parking spaces across three levels. Planned amenities include a swimming pool, playground, indoor children’s play area, pet-friendly spaces, outdoor fire pits, grilling stations, bike workshop and storage, fitness center, clubroom and game room, business center, co-working areas, and a dedicated leasing office. Groundbreaking is anticipated by the end of 2026.

LARGE SCALE MULTI FAMILY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT / Project ID 2023-311C

This $68 million development proposal is for a 2-phased project, with 2 seven story buildings, and a five-level parking garage. Both buildings will be attached by a third-floor pedestrian tunnel. Phase 1 will provide 127 apartments and phase 2 will provide 215 apartments.

MULTI FAMILY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT / Project ID 2026-06F1

The construction manager anticipates having drawings ready for bid by June 2026, with construction expected to begin in August or September. The project involves redeveloping the site into a multi-family residential community featuring 25 total units across five buildings.

NEW FIRE STATION / Project ID 2026-0A6F

This proposed $9 million facility will range from approximately 9,000 to 12,000 square feet, with bidding anticipated in late 2026 or early 2027.

The building will feature a full-building emergency generator along with dedicated apparatus support and operational spaces, including a compressor room, work room, SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) equipment room, gear storage, drying room, decontamination/extractor (gear laundry) area with storage, EMS storage, general storage, private toilet facilities, a fitness center, and a janitor’s room.

A central living area—potentially up to two stories depending on site constraints—will include an entry lobby, watch/dispatch room, day/dining room, kitchen, pantry with general storage, laundry room, five private dorm rooms, ADA-compliant men’s and women’s restrooms with locker rooms and showers, two private offices, and access to an outdoor patio with a grill.

PHASE 2 FOR A MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT / Project ID 2021-2699

Builders Exchange has been tracking this $16 million project since 2021. Plans call for a new four-story mixed-use building totaling approximately 34,478 square feet. The development will feature ground-floor retail and community space, along with 48 rental apartments. Construction is anticipated to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with completion targeted for the third quarter of 2027.

MASSIVE SCALE SOLAR FARM / Project ID 2026-0A30

The developer has been acquiring environmental surveys and hosting community outreach events for this proposed $300 million solar farm. The project will consist of a 200 MW (AC) solar photovoltaic (PV) generation facility spanning more than 1,900 acres.
